I recently decided to replay the Batman Arkham games. Great decision - they hold up really well, with fluid combat, a tight story and an immersive world to explore.

I even managed to get the Platinum trophy for Arkham Asylum. I had so much fun I decided to try for the Platinum trophy in Arkham City.

Not a great decision.

I’ve spent weeks replaying a single fight in the hopes of unlocking the Perfect Freeflow 2.0 trophy. It involves doing an unbroken combo of 13 different moves during a fight.

I would get to 11, or even 12 moves so frequently, but somehow could never pull off the final move to trigger the trophy. I would leave it, work on another mission, then come back, but still couldn’t manage the combo.

But last night, at last, I succeeded. A different map, a couple of glasses of wine, and boom! The trophy is now mine.

I still have to complete all the side missions in New Game+ to pop the platinum, but I’ve been working at this for what feels like weeks now.

But still, it’s an incredible game.
