The Force Unleashed: Awesome
[youtube=www.youtube.com/watch I just finished playing The Force Unleashed on Xbox 360. When I say finished, I mean I completed the story mode for the first time. My verdict: awesome. I’ve hardly enjoyed any game, let alone a Star Wars game like this for a long time.
The game takes place in that 20 year period between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. You play as Darth Vader’s Sith apprentice, an assassin sent to kill Darth Vader’s enemies. And being a Sith means you get to control the Force like an angry, bitter teenage boy.
You can use the Force to pick up and throw pretty much anything not tied down. Hell, even stuff that is tied down can be used. Coupled with your trusty lightsaber, you have the gifts to destroy pretty much anything that crosses your path.
The game’s controls are easy to master, at least on the Xbox version I was playing. The graphics are spectacular (although it certainly helps if you’ve got yourself a nice 1080p TV). And the storyline is probably the most engaging since the original trilogy. You care about your character, even though he’s a Sith and you don’t know his name (at least, I don’t recall it).
If you’re a Star Wars fan, then you owe it to yourself to play this game. It’s as simple as that.
