I’m still emotionally recovering from the Matilda’s match last night. What a game!

There’s this one PR agency with a few big tech clients that I’ve been chasing to get on the media lists since the start of the year. Different people, different clients, but I am yet to receive a release without having to chase them. They promise they have added my details (again, different people, multiple times), but I still don’t receive the information. It has been about a month since I started at Compare Broadband, and I’ve slipped into a habit of doing an extra half day’s work on BTTR after I clock off from CB.

So far it’s okay. My energy levels are good and I’m enjoying the work on my own site.

But I need to watch it. This time last year, I was almost completely burnt out, and had little motivation for anything at all.

Words cannot capture my disdain for GA4. It’s ridiculous how shitty the experience is.

Side of the house is coming along infinitely better than the 10 previous attempts. Still a long way to go though.

At some point in the not so distant past, somebody vomited on the plane I just boarded.

I can’t see it, but I can smell it.

It lingers on the air, seemingly longing to repeatedly venture into my nostrils.

Australia’s snowy mountains may not compare globally, but they still looked nice flying over them this morning.

First flight since about 2019. Heading down to Melbourne for the new job.

For probably the 10th time since we bought this house, I have cleared the weeds down the side to try and do something down here.

Now, I am sore.

Last night the family and I went to see Beauty and the Beast.

It was amazing. It started a little bit slow for me, but it picked up. And both Gaston’s number and Be our Guest were among the most incredible musical performances I have seen.

The wife wants to go again, and she might just get her way…

The past few weeks have been hectic. I’ve been all over the place mentally, and things have changed fairly quickly. A quick summary: I got sick. Like, sicker than I’ve been in a long time. It took two courses of antibiotics to get me on the mend. Even then, the cough lingered, and I had to go get an X-ray to make sure I didn’t have pneumonia. For the past few times the kids have gone to Nanna’s, the wife and I have tried to beat Box 2 of the Monster Box of Monsters expansion to Hogwarts Battle.

Before yesterday, we had played that box 6 times, and lost every time.

But yesterday, we prevailed. It was glorious.

Today was the first day in a week and a half I could do some work. It wore me out, but it sure beat lying in bed, coughing.

I had a couple of great chuckles at moments I could definitely see happening in the days after Return of the Jedi.

But it was a bit romancey for me. A bit too much of Han and Leia doubting themselves at every second turn, only to gaze into the other’s eyes before remembering they really do belong together.

I have completely lost this past week to illness. No work done, very little entertainment enjoyed. Just a week of phlegm and coughing.

This game did not go well for us. Too many expensive cards up front we couldn’t afford, devastating our ability to recover dark arts attacks.

It was devastating.

I’ve been testing an air purifier for work for a couple of weeks now and… I think I love it? I was a bit skeptical going in, but the air seriously just feels better around the home.

Finally got to read this - the boy was reading it so slowly before me. Couple of days later and I’m done.

It was good. I feel like the sequel trilogy would have been much better having continued the threat of the Grysks over a cloned Emperor, but I also wonder if any of this will make it into Ahsoka.

I’ve been so busy working the past couple of weeks I’ve forgotten to spend time blogging on here. Will try and turn that around.

This feature on Ahsoka in the latest issue of Empire has me so very, very excited. I want to temper my expectations, but I’m expecting perfection and that’s hard to ease back from.
