Managed to crawl out of bed at 4 to watch the Socceroos this morning. Obviously disappointed to get kicked out of the World Cup today, but it has been great to see the team grow. There’s so much potential - they just need to hunt the back of the net more aggressively. ⚽️

Completely offsetting the disappointment of the Socceroos loss this morning was the discovery that our awful neighbours are moving. I smile every time I think about it.
Obviously disappointed by the Socceroos loss to the USA this morning. I really wish our performance wasn’t a tale of two halves though - for some reason this squad so often comes out meek in the first half, then fires up in the second. ⚽️
Watching the Socceroos beat Turkey today was maybe a little too stressful for my liking. But it was so good to watch a solid strategy bear fruit.
Also Irankunda is just fantastic to watch. His goal was great, but the touch to get past two defenders? Amazing. ⚽️
Disappointing to watch the Matildas go down 0-1 to Mexico in extra time after dominating most of the match. They seemed to try to push a final pass too often instead of having a crack.
Hopefully they’ll bounce back on Tuesday. ⚽️
The A-League grand final was pretty boring football in the end. Sydney seemed lethargic a lot of the time, so it’s unsurprising Auckland won.
Epic battle at Stadium Australia tonight for the Asian Women’s Cup. Disappointing result, but brilliant atmosphere. So glad I got to be there.

Just watching some football and reviewing a big-ass TV on a Friday night.
Have enjoyed watching a bit of football this season. The Bulls didn’t make the finals and lost tonight, but at least we managed to get to the match.
Boy’s first trial soccer match today. The team came out strong. He scored the first goal of the year, and had a couple of extra shots. It looked like this year could be different.
Then he fell over and hurt his arm. Came off. Swollen and in a lot of pain. Team completely lost its momentum and conceded 5 unanswered goals by the time we took him to the doctor.
He’s had an X-ray, and it doesn’t look like a fracture right now, but we need to wait for the full results.
Friends, it has been a wild day.
The boy scored a hat-trick at summer soccer tonight. He was very happy about it.
Got to head out to the women’s Sydney vs Melbourne City A-League match today with Ninja. It was a gorgeous day and a good match of football. Should try and get to more matches.

England was the better side overall tonight. But the Matildas were still phenomenal. Kerr’s goal was extraordinary.
A couple of mistakes and a couple of missed chances was all it took for the match to go the other way.
Let’s see them take third.
Monday night soccer. At least tomorrow is a public holiday.
Victory! Not even the Iraqis magic stretcher could save them! #gosocceroos
Second half underway… #gosocceroos
A fun toy to play with at the Socceroos match. It records! #gosocceroos
All attack, all the time. #gosocceroos
Socceroos!
OMG! I wish there were more hours in the day
Wow – I knew it had been a long time since I updated here… but a full month? I guess that just goes to show how busy I’ve been. Crazy. At the …
